Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about UV adhesives, curing processes, ordering, and technical support.
Technical Questions
What is the shelf life of UV adhesives?
Most Top-Bond UV adhesives have a 12-month shelf life when stored in original, unopened containers at 5–25°C away from direct light. Specific shelf life varies by product — check the TDS for your specific grade.
Can UV adhesives bond opaque materials?
Standard UV adhesives require at least one UV-transparent substrate for line-of-sight curing. For opaque-to-opaque bonding, we offer UV-moisture and UV-heat dual-cure systems that cure via secondary mechanisms in shadow areas.
What UV wavelength do I need?
Most Top-Bond UV adhesives cure optimally at 365nm (UVA). LED-curable grades are available for 365nm, 385nm, 395nm, and 405nm wavelengths. The TDS for each product specifies the recommended wavelength and dose (J/cm²).
How do I request samples?
Contact our sales team via the Contact Us page or email. Specify your application, substrates, and any special requirements. We typically ship samples within 3–5 business days for evaluation.
What is the minimum order quantity?
MOQ varies by product. Standard UV adhesives start from 1kg for sample evaluation. Production orders typically start from 50–100kg depending on the formulation. Contact us for specific MOQ information.
Do you offer custom formulations?
Yes. Our R&D team develops custom ODM formulations tailored to your specific substrates, curing conditions, and performance requirements. Typical development time is 2–4 weeks for prototype formulations.
Are your products REACH and RoHS compliant?
Yes. All Top-Bond products comply with EU REACH and RoHS regulations. Medical-grade products additionally meet ISO 10993 biocompatibility requirements. Compliance documentation is available upon request.
